The Batal Ahmed Tale (حدوتة البطل أحمد) – A Short Experimental Documentary
This short piece began from a simple longing — to capture the rhythm of a single street and the lives that move through it.
Filmed over two days on Batal Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street in Cairo, it gathers fleeting everyday moments: the flow of traffic, people rushing to catch a bus, fueling cars, getting coffee, or asking for help at the edge of the sidewalk.
Together, they form a quiet portrait of the ordinary day — a kind of living show that plays endlessly, right there on the street.
This is a work in progress, the first part of what will become a three-part series.
